Dimensions entwined

This art installation is my personal interpretation of string theory, in which sheets of plexiglass represent successive planes of additional dimensions, and the ceramic elements weaving through them serve to visualize the strings of reality. Through seven transparent planes, I aim to depict seven additional dimensions that escape our perception—dimensions that exist materially, yet their colorlessness suggests they remain invisible to the human eye. I chose to throw flowing ribbons of clay through them on the potter’s wheel, using the natural behavior of the material during the throwing process to express both the vibration and fluidity of matter—the strings.
